Job Description:
The Assistant News Editor supports senior editors in managing daily newsroom operations and digital publishing while ensuring content quality, accuracy, and timely delivery in line with Dawn’s editorial policies. The role includes managing newsroom teams, assigning stories, editing and approving content and visuals, monitoring competitors, using analytics for editorial decisions, coordinating with social media desks, and improving newsroom workflows and overall performance.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of journalism experience with proven editorial and team management skills

• Strong editing ability and digital newsroom experience

• Knowledge of social media platforms and trends

• Flexibility to work in all shifts
