Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Role Overview:
This role performs a wide range of semi-skilled construction, maintenance, and grounds keeping tasks to support park, building, and facility operations within the City of Toronto’s Parks & Recreation division.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform installation, operation, maintenance, and minor repair of mechanical equipment
Assist trade workers and handyworkers with construction and maintenance tasks
Carry out general building repairs, equipment setup, and groundskeeping duties
Operate vehicles and equipment such as forklifts, loaders, and hoisting devices
Perform grass cutting, snow removal, and general park maintenance
Follow safety regulations, OHSA standards, and City policies
Work in all weather conditions and perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Considerable experience performing semi-skilled work
Knowledge of landscaping, construction, and building maintenance practices
Valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License
Ability to operate tools, equipment, and work at heights
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
What We Offer:
Competitive hourly wage of CA$31.73/hour (2026 rate)
