Role Summary
The Pharmacy Assistant will support pharmacy operations by preparing, packaging, and organizing medication deliveries, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate documentation. Training is provided for entry-level candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate record-keeping of prescription information via dispensary software.
Prepare medications for compliance packaging and manage workflow within timelines.
Assist with pharmacy inventory, including stock levels, reorders, and automated dispensing machines.
Handle returns and expired products, including sorting and disposal.
Prepare creams and liquids, and generate daily/weekly production reports.
Maintain confidentiality, ethical standards, and a clean pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant or certification preferred but not required.
Knowledge of KROLL and/or PacMed is an asset.
Strong visual acuity, numeracy, and manual dexterity.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Shift
Shift: Rotating shifts, weekends as needed
Compensation
Salary: $18–$20 per hour
Salary Type: Hourly
