Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance Laravel/PHP services and supporting components

• Assist in designing, building, and documenting RESTful APIs

• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews

• Troubleshoot defects, triage incidents, and contribute to root-cause analysis

• Collaborate with front-end engineers, testing engineers, and stakeholders to deliver features

• Follow secure coding practices and handle data responsibly

• Monitor application health using logs/metrics and contribute to performance improvements

• Participate in developer/tester meetings and maintain technical documentation

• Learn and apply best practices under mentorship from Senior Engineers

• Uphold team standards for version control, CI/CD, and code quality

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of software development experience (internships and projects considered)

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles

• Familiarity with PHP 8+ and the Laravel framework

• Working knowledge of JavaScript (React, Node.js, or browser) and modern tooling

• Understanding of RESTful API design, HTTP, and JSON

• Experience with relational databases

• Comfortable with Git and collaborative workflows (PRs, code reviews)

• Basic knowledge of testing (unit/integration) and debugging

• Nice-to-have: Docker/containers, CI/CD, cloud (AWS), Python

• Team player with strong communication, curiosity, and willingness to learn in a remote team

• Willing to work occasional nights or weekends

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
