About the Role
This 12-week internship offers hands-on experience working as a Software Engineering partner at Airbnb. Interns will own a capstone project from start to finish while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build impactful technology that supports connection, belonging, and travel.

What You’ll Do

  • Own and deliver a capstone engineering project end-to-end

  • Write, test, and debug production-quality code

  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team meetings

  • Collaborate with engineers, mentors, and stakeholders

  • Incorporate feedback and iterate on solutions

  • Contribute ideas and actively engage in intern workshops and community events

  • Exposure to Airbnb’s engineering culture, mentorship, and technical standards

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (graduation expected Dec 2026 – Jun 2027)

  • Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, design patterns)

  • Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, C++, Python, SQL, Swift, Kotlin, Ruby)

  • Ability to use AI tools responsibly while independently writing and explaining code

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Authorization to work in the U.S. (visa sponsorship not available)
