Responsibilities
-
Collaborate with engineers on AI tasks including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic workflow optimization to enhance applied AI systems
-
Identify opportunities to leverage emerging AI capabilities across the Poe product
-
Take end-to-end ownership of AI systems: prototyping, data pipelines, model optimization/evaluation, and reliable deployment at scale
Minimum Requirements
-
Available for meetings and communication during Quora’s coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am–3pm PT)
-
2025 or Summer 2026 graduate (or pursuing) B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field

Strong engineering background in Python or TypeScript
-
Understanding of mathematical foundations of Machine Learning algorithms
-
Experience with LLM applications or transformer models
-
Passion for learning and continuous improvement
Preferred Requirements
-
Previous software engineering experience via internship, work experience, or coding competitions
-
Hands-on experience with LLM development and prompt engineering
-
Enthusiasm for Poe and Quora’s mission
