Role Overview:
The Greenhouse Automation Engineer will design, implement, and manage automated environmental control systems used in smart greenhouses. This role works directly with hardware engineers, agronomists, and software teams to ensure precision agriculture technology performs efficiently in real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and integrate automated systems for temperature, humidity, irrigation, and nutrient delivery.
• Deploy IoT-based sensors and ensure accurate data capture for climate and crop monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and maintain greenhouse automation hardware and software.
• Collaborate with agronomists to optimize growing conditions using AI insights.
• Conduct on-site system calibrations and performance tests.
• Prepare technical documentation and provide training to farm operators.
• Ensure systems are compliant with agriculture safety and operational standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Agricultural Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
• 3–5 years of experience in automation systems, preferably in farming or greenhouse setups.
• Hands-on knowledge of IoT sensors, PLCs, automation controllers, and greenhouse hardware.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and field-support skills.
• Ability to work on-site in greenhouse environments.
