Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) – Accounting
Work Arrangement
Hybrid Work
Required two or three days in Downtown Toronto office
Anchor days: Tuesday and Thursday
Role Overview
The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) – Accounting plays a vital role in financial reporting, accounting analysis, and decision support. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, facilitating the annual external audit and income tax return preparation, enhancing internal controls, and overseeing inventory management and Bill of Materials (BOM) maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting – Month-End & Year-End Close
Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, supporting schedules, and journal entries
Assist with preparation and analysis of month-end budget to actual analysis
Annual External Audit & Income Tax Returns
Coordinate and manage the annual financial audit process
Prepare and review audit schedules, workpapers, and reconciliations
Assist in drafting financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures in compliance with ASPE
Inventory & Bill of Materials (BOM) Maintenance
Ensure accurate inventory costing within NetSuite
Oversee inventory reconciliations
Support maintenance and accuracy of Bill of Materials (BOM)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
3–4 years of experience
Experience with a Big Four Accounting Firm is a plus
CPA certification (completed or in progress)
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Advanced Excel skills
Proficiency in NetSuite ERP is a plus
Highly detail-oriented and organized
