Role Overview

The Financial Analyst is responsible for the accurate preparation and analysis of financial documents including budgets, forecasts, indicators, and variance analysis. The role provides accounting and decision-support services to internal stakeholders such as Senior Management, Hospital Committees, the Board of Directors, and the Ministry of Health. This position supports corporate accounting functions and ensures financial and statistical data accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze budgets, forecasts, indicators, and account variances

• Act as super-user for General Ledger, Fixed Assets, and Executive Support System (ESS) modules

• Maintain the General Ledger, post batches daily, and prepare monthly journal entries

• Reconcile bank accounts daily and manage cash budgeting

Qualifications

• Professional Accountant designation (CPA: CA, CMA, CGA) or equivalent experience

• University degree in Finance, Business, or Commerce

• Advanced knowledge of GAAP

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a healthcare finance department or public sector finance
