Role Overview
The Registered Nurse reports to the Director of Care and is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, supporting resident well-being, and ensuring care is provided in accordance with legislative requirements and Sienna Senior Living standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care needs
Deliver skilled nursing procedures and administer medications
Collaborate with residents and substitute decision-makers on care plans
Develop and evaluate goals of care
Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and RN scope of practice
Supervise and guide nursing team members and care staff
Participate in interdisciplinary care conferences
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Nursing (BN), or equivalent
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (or BCCNM)
Knowledge of nursing processes and geriatric care practices
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Computer and administrative proficiency
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills
